Happy Friday, friends! This has been an unbelievably long week filled with restlessness, sleeplessness, anxiety attacks, and just overall blah blah blahness. I am absolutely THRILLED it has finally come to an end. So to kick this much-needed and welcomed weekend off, take a look at some of this weeks finds. Happy weekend!
Best Find: On Saturday, I watched this empowering and liberating documentary on ABC. I never knew the history of lacrosse and its Native American origins, nor the controversy on whether or not Native American girls should be allowed to play. I’m so proud of the Mohawk and Akwesasne nation girls, their vision, their hard work, and their resilience. Breaking barriers isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. Take a look at the trailer!
Honorable Mention: Crown Heights (Brooklyn, NY) high school senior, Ethan Ambrose, is on his way to Harvard–only one of the most prestigious schools in the world, and this is just the beginning. Just last week, the seventeen-year-old received the icing on the proverbial cake: a full-ride to Harvard and a scholarship that covers $40,000 a year, and automatically makes him eligible for a $50,000 per-year scholarship for grad school. How exciting. Congrats and best of luck, Ethan!
